Substitution of Players

Goals

Substitution of players may be made only after a goal and before the ensuing throw-off, before the beginning of a period of play, or to replace an injured player.

Time Outs

Substitutions may not be made during a time-out taken during play other than for an injury.

Injury

If a team substitutes a player or players for an injured player or players, the opposing team may also make an equal or lesser number of substitutions at that time.
