Geo Women's / Mixed teams

Location Team Info
Brighton, Preston Park Brighton Ultimate The Brighton geo-team was started up in the summer of 2004, and has been competing in the Mixed Tour in 2005 - consistently finishing top 10. We practice every Monday at 7pm under floodlights at Hove Rugby club, and every Saturday in Preston Park at 1pm. Our practices are well attended, thanks to cooperation with Sussex University's team, the Mohawks, so expect to see at least 5-10 women of varying experience at any practice. Women players of all levels of skill are encouraged to join us, we are a team focused on development whilst still achieving top-8 performances, and hope to either enter two teams into Mixed Tour 2006 or get a full women's team out.

Brunel Brunel University, London Brunel women, or FLAIR as we preferred to be known have took part in every womens uni nationals since 2002. We're based in West London, and will usually be found ignoring the usual catching / throwing drills in aide of layout practise and learning how to 'milk the score'!

Disc Doctors Imperial College London Disc Doctors have always had a few women playing with the guys. This coming season we're trying to pull together a women's team, with the help of Kings College London. If you're a lovely lady and want to play in the Hyde Park area, come along to one of our practices, which we regularly have on Wednesday, 1pm in Hyde Park, near the "Prince of Wales" Gate. If you're not, come along and pick up anyway! Theres not much we enjoy more than pickup... maybe socialising after pickup!

Equilibrium London School of Economics Equilibrium is the most Pareto-optimal ultimate ever played! From leaping economists to laying-out lawyers, you never thought a bunch of nose-up-their-arses smarty-pants could actually take the the pitch and huck and D with the best of them. Re-formed in 2004 after a few year hiatus, Equilibrium looks to bring fun and fitness to the fuddy-duddy world of economics and political science.

Holloway Hammers Royal Holloway, London Formed nearly three years ago when J Hunter nearly got thrown out of the student union for 'illegally advertising' an unendorsed club Holloway have gone from strength to strength. J's boundless enthusiasm seems to have rubbed off on everyone and the club has seen some enormous sign ups from freshers and this year has actually managed to keep most of them. Coming 4th at last years outdoor regionals and 7th at this years indoor NTN our girls came 2nd at the open women's indoors this year. Now it's just a case of persuading our 3rd years to do masters...

Squaws Sussex Uni, Falmer, Brighton The females of the Mohawk tribe, the beautiful Squaws bear all the craftiness and craziness of the Mohawks. Now with a good base of experienced members and plenty of new faces, the Squaws are ever growing in numbers and are seeking to make an impact on the women's uni ultimate scene in 2005/6, with a team already seven women strong. All are most welcome to come along to Mohawk trainings and join the tribe.

Under Cover Lovers University College London Now in their 8th year, the Under Cover Lovers have established themselves as a strong South-East University team. Boasting a real mix of complete beginners, growing talent and a handful of foreign "one-semester" imports, UCL has consistently performed well in Student events during its lifetime.
Despite never having won a single title, you'll usually find the Lovers challenging hard for that elusive victory, with a strong reputation for competitive play. No doubt UCL will continue to fight for the number one spot for many years to come...
